Willow Branches in Autumn Winds

Thursday Reflections on the Plunge

Painting today at Laura’s Home, then the students visited St. Herman’s House of Hospitality to make, serve and eat dinner.

We had a concert of prayer tonight, a time to worship in singing and pray for the city of Cleveland. I was glad that we had several visitors join us for this—Mark’s parents, some IV students from Akron, and some women who work for City Year. It was great to participate in what God’s doing in the city through prayer.

Soon I will have some pictures to post of the Plunge. I have not been taking any—being the Director of this project, I haven’t felt the leisure to do any photography. But Eric (Plunge staff who works for IV at the U. of Akron) has taken lots, as have some of the students. I cant’ wait till they share them with me, so I can share them with you.

Willow Branches in Autumn Winds Sixpence None the Richer has a lyric: "My thoughts were like willow branches caught in autumn winds." That is a perfect description of my brain. This blog is where I get those thoughts out of my head and into the world.
